Estrogens (APK #639)

This application describes a fast and robust LC-MS/MS method for the analysis of estrone and estradiol, two naturally occurring estrogens in the human body. There are three types of estrogen: estrone, estradiol, and estriol. Each plays an important role in a specific aspect of our lives.

Estradiol is important for reproduction in women and, to some extent, in men as well, and it also affects, for example, bone density, skin, and mood. Estriol is important during pregnancy for the proper development and support of the fetus. Estrone plays a major role in women during menopause.
