Micro-Solid-Phase-Extraction (MSPE) is a very simple sample preparation technique. MSPEuses a centrifugal filter with a membrane and a sorbent. MSPEtubes do not require the use of an SPE manifold and thus significantly simplify sample preparation for which a centrifuge is used. MSPEtubes are fitted with a membrane filter ensuring sample filtration after extraction. This avoids the use of syringe filters.
Sorbents for the MSPE technique are chosen to cover the widest possible field of applications.
MSPE SpeExtra C18is a hydrophobic type of octadecyl silica gel with a special endcapping with very wide application. It is suitable for a wide range of analytes, showing worse retention for polar compounds.
MSPE SpeExtra C18-Pis a polar modified monomeric octadecyl silica gel. It offers different types of interactions: dipole-dipole, π-π and hydrophobic. It is therefore suitable for aromatic and polar compounds.
MSPE SpeExtra HLBpolymer sorbent with high specific surface area and special endcaping. It has a hydrophilic and lipophilic modification ensuring universal use and a higher capacity than C18 silica gel.
