IMPACT Sampler, for PM Coarse Sampling at 10 L/min

The patented (U.S. Patent No. 7,334,453) SKC IMPACT Sampler single-stage inertial impactor is designed for the efficient collection of PM10, PM2.5, or PM Coarse (PM10–2.5 µm) in ambient air. A sampling pump operating at 10 L/min draws particles through the impactor. Larger particles are captured on a disposable pre-oiled impaction substrate while smaller particles collect on a 47-mm filter. IMPACT media changes are as easy as removing the filter cassette and replacing it with one already loaded with a filter and impaction disk that mounts in the top of the cassette. IMPACT’s higher flow rate requirement provides increased sensitivity to low levels of PM.
