DAU (Drugs of Abuse) is a copolymerized sorbent, utilizing both a reverse (C8) phase and an ion exchange (benzenesulfonic acid) phase bonded to the same particle. The mixed mode nature allows for maximum selectivity for the extraction of acids, neutrals and bases. This flexibility and versatility is ideal for both screening and confirmation analyses of virtually all drug categories.

General method for column with 100mg of sorbent

Condition

1 mL Methanol

Equilibrate

1 mL DI Water

Load

Pretreated sample

Wash 1

1 mL 0,1N HCl in Water

Wash 2

1 mL 0,1N HCl in Methanol, dry under vacuum for 2–5 min

Elute

1 mL 5% NH4OH in Methanol

Note

Proper conditioning of the SPE column prior to sample application will result in accurate recovery, reduced interference and particulate removal. Conditioning is performed by adding methanol, followed by DI water and finally sample buffer.
